JH van der Vossen B.V. wins Greenovation Award 201907 November 2019
On Wednesday, November 6, 2019, CEO Steven van Schilfgaarde presented the annual Greenovation Award. The presentation took place during the Trade Fair Aalsmeer. The professional jury and the public both had a 50% share in the overall assessment and chose JH van der Vossen B.V. with their unique ECO concept.
The Greenovation Award has been a hot topic recently. The nominations have really been a thing within the sector. In the end, the public cast their vote 2500 times in total and together with the professional jury decided on the winner.
To much applause from the audience, father and son were brought forward to receive the award. Both are very proud of this milestone and have once again emphasised that they have only been able to win this award through the support and contribution of their team. Van Schilfgaarde: 'The unique ECO concept from JH van der Vossen B.V. is easy to use. The consumer can plant the plants, pot and all, in the soil; it is a plastic-free product and the pot and the label are completely degradable. It is a miracle mix. The plants are also MPS A+, MPS product proof and Global GAP certified. To date, this is the first concept within pot bulbs to be developed in this way.'
An important theme
We look back on a successful presentation with inspiring products and concepts and would like to thank everyone for their contribution and participation. Royal FloraHolland calls on the sector to stimulate these innovations and to continuously look for further optimisations. Sustainability is and remains an important theme within the floriculture sector and despite all the innovations, there are still gains to be made in various areas.
